Veterans Day is here and a handful of South Florida spots with Broward ties are stepping up with small but meaningful gestures to honor the people who’ve served.
Among them is Aroma Joe’s, the New England born coffee chain that’s been steadily building a presence in Broward. On Tuesday November 11, all veterans can snag a free drink (any size up to 24 ounces) at both of its Broward locations (1450 S. Powerline Road in Pompano Beach and 2690 N. Andrews Ave. in Wilton Manors by simply showing a valid military ID.
As with any Aroma Joe’s visit, expect baristas who actually smile and a menu that goes well beyond your standard latte, folks. Think the Hot Witches Brew, which is half coffee half hot chocolate and ideal for when the weather dips by four degrees. There’s also the Green Alien, a neon energy drink with green apple and blue raspberry that can be served iced or frozen, plus fruit smoothies like blueberry pomegranate.
“We’re proud to serve communities like Pompano Beach and Wilton Manors that have a strong appreciation for service and connection,” said local franchisee Marissa McKenna. “This Veterans Day, offering a free drink is our small way of giving a personalized thank you to the brave men and women who’ve dedicated their lives to protecting our freedoms. As our presence grows in Broward County and beyond, we remain committed to creating positive energy one cup at a time for those who make a difference every day.”
As for a trio of noteworthy freebies once you’re caffeinated:
- Bolay – with five Broward locations - is offering a free regular size bol in restaurant to veterans who show ID.
- LIME Fresh Mexican Grill – with three Broward spots – is going big with a free meal plus a LIME Challenge Coin that lets veterans dine free on the 11th of every month.
- Huey Magoo’s – a Broward staple with six locations in the county - is serving up a free 3-piece tender meal with beverage purchase for veterans and active military.
