“Wynwood inspired everything about The Moon,” owner Iraklis Karabassis tells Browardist. “It’s a neighborhood rooted in art, music and personality, and we wanted to reflect that energy without losing elegance. The menu focuses on quality ingredients and well executed steakhouse classics paired with live music. It is something that was missing in Wynwood.”
The Moon blends classic steakhouse confidence with piano bar soul, wrapped in a space that feels old-world lounge and Wynwood art fantasia in one. Think jungle murals, leopard accents and dramatic gold curtains. It’s all quite theatrical without tipping into kitsch. It’s elegant, expressive and intentionally transportive, exactly what a night out in Miami should feel like (especially if you’re venturing from outside city lines).
The menu keeps things focused and smart. Prime cuts like a cowboy steak, tomahawk ribeye, and filet mignon anchor the experience, while Italian-leaning plates ensure the pacing is social. Burrata with pesto crème fraîche, cured salmon carpaccio with passionfruit and a bucatini cacio e pepe are designed to share, sip, and savor between songs.
Music is the real heartbeat here. Live piano and vocal performances run nightly, led by resident pianist Ari Renner, whose high-energy sets elevate the room without hijacking it. The talent is intentional, the volume restrained and the vibe unmistakably classy.
