What began as a one-night curiosity is now becoming a recurring date on Hollywood's dining calendar.
After drawing a full house for its inaugural Nude Dinner Experience earlier this month, CLASS Lounge + Live Events has announced the clothing-optional dinner will return every first Monday of the month, with the next event scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3.
Held inside CLASS Lounge, adjacent to C.L.A.S.S. Soiree Steakhouse at 121 N. 20th Ave. in Hollywood, the inaugural dinner welcomed 10 guests, including eight women and two men.
According to Chef Maurad "Chef Ali" Ali, many attendees arrived wearing robes before gradually deciding how comfortable they wanted to become throughout the evening. Some remained partially covered while others chose to fully disrobe as the night progressed. Staff remained fully clothed throughout the experience, with the exception of the event's nudist host.
"The dinner was phenomenal," Ali told Browardist. "The feedback has been wonderful, and everybody left reviews. I'm glad we're doing it." The social response has been equally eye-catching. Ali says a single video from the first dinner has surpassed 10,000 Instagram likes, generated nearly 600,000 views and been shared roughly 25,000 times in less than two weeks.
The format will remain largely unchanged for future dinners. As first reported by Browardist, guests receive a champagne toast, five-course chef-curated steakhouse meal, robe, towel, tax and gratuity, with vegan options available. The original menu proved so popular that Ali plans to keep it intact, featuring French onion and brisket soup, oysters or Thai fried shrimp, surf and turf with steak and lobster tail, family-style sides and dessert.
One notable change: the price for single men has dropped from $350 to $250, while couples and single women continue to pay $150 per person. Capacity is also growing. Rather than limiting future dinners to 10 guests, Ali expects most events to accommodate 14 to 16 diners, with additional nights possible if demand continues.
"You don't have to be fully undressed," Ali said. "You can stay in your full clothes all night. We have rules about inappropriate talking or touching. It's just dinner."
Beyond the monthly nude dinners, Chef Ali continues offering one of the restaurant's signature experiences: the “Romantic Dinner and a Movie.” Available after regular service, the private evening transforms the intimate steakhouse into an exclusive dining room for two complete with a private chef, champagne, candles, dozens of roses, popcorn and a movie shown on an 85-inch television.
