After years of anticipation, Amante’s has officially reopened its doors in a sleek new space just steps from its original Deerfield Beach location. The darling family-owned Italian-American eatery, which first won locals’ hearts from 2006 to 2019 with its soulful red-sauce classics and co-owner Bob Amante’s signature New York–style pies, celebrated its grand reopening on October 20 at 2009 NE 2nd Street.
In collaboration with Eddie and Christina Pozzuoli of P Hospitality (the team behind Corvina in Boca Raton as well as Eddie & Vinny’s in Coral Springs, among other spots), the Amante family — Bob, Cristina, and their son, Nunzio — has created a refreshed yet familiar dining experience. The new 4,000-square-foot restaurant now features seating for nearly 200 guests, including a sunlit dining room, an intimate private room for 40 and an inviting patio that lets Deerfield’s oceanside breeze roll right on in.
Of course, the food remains at the heart of this story. Expect a robust lineup of Italian-American favorites – think eggplant rollatini, veal parmesan and linguini alle vongole all alongside Bob’s legendary pizzas. For those on the go, a speakeasy-style rear entrance offers easy access for takeout, complete with its own poppin’ neon sign.
“Deerfield Beach has been home to our family since 1975,” co-owner Cristina Amante tells Browardist. With Amante’s, we’re infusing fresh energy into the local dining scene while honoring the recipes that have been in our family for over 50 years. As a family-owned restaurant since day one, we’re proud to stand apart from the typical Italian spots by blending tradition with innovation... introducing a forward-thinking menu and cocktail program while still celebrating the timeless traditions our community has grown to love.”
As the Amantes mark a milestone of 50 years in the restaurant business, their new chapter feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. It’s all very much a love letter to Deerfield Beach, served with extra garlic bread on the side.
