Can a nondescript strip mall off Cypress Creek Road and I-95 really house Broward’s next great coffee obsession? Drip Coffee – and its early lines, sometimes out the door – say absolutely.
Nestled at 6317 N. Andrews Ave in Fort Lauderdale, this spot opened September 27 and hasn’t stopped buzzing. Its hours—7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekends, with the kitchen closing an hour earlier—mean there’s a steady stream of early risers, laptop lingerers and weekend wanderers filing in.
Drip is the vision of Taylor Schear, the local creative behind Sheer Media Co. and Sheer Talent Co. She concocted a space that looks like it came straight from a design board: white walls, sleek counters, touches of greenery and sunlight bouncing off every surface. It’s polished and trendy but not intimidating—there’s plenty of space to settle in with a laptop, catch up with a friend or just sip solo and people-watch.
Then there’s the menu... perhaps the real reason this place is blowing up. Alongside classic espresso, cortados and cold brews, Drip leans into playful, flavor-heavy creations that beg to be photographed. Think the Sticky Situation with sticky date s’mores syrup and a torched marshmallow, the pistachio butter–infused Salty Gal, the miso caramel Miso Moody and the coconut ube Purple Rain.
The latest head-turner is the Honey Bear Latte, served in an actual bear-shaped honey bottle—sweet, nostalgic and tailor-made for your feed.
Food isn’t an afterthought. Sourdough avocado toast with salsa macha crunch, salmon-topped toast with dill and capers, truffle egg sandwiches and tiramisu chia pudding round out a menu that feels curated but not pretentious, all in the $10-17 range.
Drip Coffee is that rare mix of substance and style. Consider it Wynwood cool without the chaos and Broward grounded without being boring. It’s worth the hype and that detour of I-95 for sure.
