Ever wonder what actually happens to those perfectly pressed hotel sheets before you dive into bed at the likes of the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel

Soon, many of them will be headed to Pompano Beach.

Crown Linen has announced plans to open a new 50,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art commercial laundry facility in Pompano Beach this March. It’s poised to quietly power much of Broward’s hospitality scene. The operation will serve hotels across Broward and Palm Beach counties, including the Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel and Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort

“This is one of the most technologically advanced hospitality laundry facilities ever built in South Florida,” Pablo Lucchesi, CEO of Crown Linen, tells Browardist. “Hotel operators today are rethinking how back-of-house operations are handled as staffing pressures, space constraints, and tighter margins reshape the industry. Many newer hotels are no longer building on-site laundry at all. This facility was designed to provide both reliability and scale, allowing us to operate as a true extension of a hotel’s team and letting them stay focused on delivering great guest experiences.”

When it opens, the facility will operate 24/7 with the capacity to process approximately 30 million pounds of linens annually. Inside: two massive Jensen tunnel washers engineered to be gentler on fabrics, advanced ironing and folding machines with laser-guided precision, a ceiling-mounted rail system that transports linens throughout the building and specialized washers for spa and food-and-beverage items.

Every load will be hand-sorted by hotel account and category, with customized wash cycles and hands-on quality control before delivery. Advanced truck tracking and real-time logistics monitoring will give hotel partners full visibility into daily operations, a critical advantage during peak season or hurricane disruptions.

Strategically located in Pompano Beach, the facility will be among the largest purpose-built hospitality laundries in Broward County and is expected to create approximately 150 local jobs. Crown Linen also operates Florida facilities in Miami, Orlando, Haines City, Bradenton and in Atlanta, Ga.
