Fifty-plus breweries, a stein-holding showdown and free admission? Dania Beach has a Saturday night worth circling.
The Dania After Dark Oktoberfest Fall Festival returns Saturday, October 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 100 W. Dania Beach Blvd., bringing a serious beer roster to one of Broward’s under-the-radar fall finds.
Admission is free, with sampling tickets sold separately for guests 21 and older. General admission sampling costs $50 and includes unlimited pours throughout the three-hour event and a souvenir glass. Bringing a crew? The $180 four-pack drops that to $45 per person.
The $70 VIP ticket adds access to a designated area, exclusive beers and food samples from Anthony’s Clam House, MR Smash Burger and Quarterdeck, while supplies last.
Among the breweries on the lineup: Funky Buddha, Ology, Prison Pals, New Belgium, La Tropical, Bitburger and Weihenstephan. Fort Lauderdale’s Tarpon River Brewing sponsors the ceremonial keg tapping, so keep that souvenir glass handy.
The Polka Brothers play from 6 to 8 p.m., with the stein-holding competition scheduled for 7 p.m. and a costume contest immediately afterward. Consider it a chance to put your arm strength—and lederhosen—to work.
Kids get bounce houses, face painting, crafts, trunk-or-treat vehicles and a pumpkin patch with free pumpkins while supplies last. Dogs are welcome, too.
Parking help comes courtesy of a free shuttle running between the Casino at Dania Beach and City Hall from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Use the casino’s northwest lot at 301 E. Dania Beach Blvd.
