Fort Lauderdale’s shoreline is getting a glitzy new addition as Del Mar Fort Lauderdale officially opens November 25 at 2200 N. Ocean Boulevard, taking over the former DUNE space at Auberge Beach Residences and giving the oceanfront a fresh wave of total Mediterranean flair.
The newest concept from Cameron Mitchell Restaurants is the group’s largest Del Mar yet, spanning more than 17,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor dining, complete with a beachfront bar, an ocean-view terrace and interiors inspired by sun-soaked European coastlines.
“As we put the finishing touches on Del Mar Fort Lauderdale, our team’s excitement to open and begin sharing our refreshing Mediterranean-inspired experience with the local community is palpable,” David Miller, President and COO of Cameron Mitchell Restaurants, told Browardist leading up to the opening. “Every detail, from the oceanfront design to the final touches in our kitchen, reflects our passion for excellence. What we are confident will set this restaurant apart is the combination of breathtaking views at a one-of-a-kind location, our outstanding menu that captures the essence of coastal dining and our CMR signature genuine hospitality.”
Led by General Manager Travis Cusack and Executive Chef Mitch Brumels, Del Mar’s menu taps into flavors from Greece, Southern Spain, Morocco, Italy and France. Expect dishes like open-fire roasted shellfish served tableside, lobster spaghetti with calabrian chili, truffle agnolotti and Mediterranean-style snapper swimming in blistered tomatoes.
Brunch fans will find shakshuka, mascarpone-kissed French toast and half-price Veuve on weekends. Add handcrafted cocktails and a deep wine list, and it’s a full-on coastal celebration all week long.
Bright textures, breezy neutrals, greenery for days and an Atlantic backdrop set the tone for a space that doubles as both destination and escape. Del Mar’s arrival also expands CMR’s South Florida footprint following Ocean Prime’s splashy debut earlier this year.
Del Mar Fort Lauderdale is now accepting reservations, so get moving.
