Hop in the car or on the train... this frozen bellini is worth building a trip around.

Downtown Miami is about to score a buzzy new reason for Broward folks to hop on the Brightline. Vancouver-born Cactus Club Café officially opens its doors on February 10 inside the Citigroup Center, and yes, the signature frozen Bellini alone might justify the journey. The polished, high-energy restaurant marks the brand’s second U.S. location and its 35th overall, bringing its elevated everyday dining ethos straight to Biscayne Boulevard, just about a mile from MiamiCentral.

Founded in 1988, Cactus Club Café has built a loyal following across Canada for its approachable yet stylish vibe – think energetic music, design-forward spaces and a chef-driven menu that feels indulgent without crossing into snobby territory. Miami’s outpost keeps that formula intact while dialing up the coastal influence, both on the plate and in the room.

The sprawling 11,500-square-foot space seats more than 280 diners across a central bar, chic lounge seating, a semi-private dining room and a lush patio oasis. Designed by ICRAVE, the restaurant leans into layered greenery, warm wood details and statement lighting, with bold artwork throughout including commissioned pieces by Hunt Slonem and a vibrant mural by Gabriela Zerpa anchoring the patio bar.

In the kitchen, Executive Chef Greg McCallum and the brand’s test kitchen team deliver modern North American dishes inspired by Miami’s ingredients and global flavors. Expect sushi, ceviche, Wagyu beef carpaccio, pastas, steaks and local-leaning desserts like Key lime pie. The bar program is equally compelling, led by over a dozen custom cocktails, a sommelier-selected wine list and that headline-making frozen Bellini served ice-cold from the lounge or patio bars. (Yes, Browardist editor Jesse Scott loves them and enjoyed them on a recent Calgary trip.)

Add daily happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m., plus a late-night round from 10 pm to close, and Cactus Club Café will soon be an all-day, all-occasion Downtown Miami hang.
