If the thought of dancing until 2 a.m. sounds exhausting, Fort Lauderdale has an alternative this weekend.
Earlybirds Club, the nationwide dance party phenomenon designed for women, trans and non-binary folks, lands at Revolution Live on Saturday, June 6, with four hours of throwback tunes, community vibes and a finish time that still leaves plenty of room for a solid night's sleep.
The concept has been gaining traction across the country by flipping the traditional nightlife script. Instead of late-night starts and next-day recovery plans, Earlybirds Club gets the party going from 6 to 10 p.m., creating a welcoming environment where attendees can hit the dance floor, connect with friends and be home before most clubs are even getting started.
Music comes courtesy of DJ ReRe, who will spin crowd-pleasing favorites from the 1980s through the 2000s. Expect a soundtrack packed with pop, hip-hop, new wave and R&B hits, including the sing-at-the-top-of-your-lungs classics that practically demand a dance floor.
There's no dress code, either. Organizers encourage guests to show up exactly as they are and focus on having a good time.
The event also includes a charitable component. Ten percent of ticket proceeds will benefit Gilda's Club South Florida, a nonprofit that supports individuals and families impacted by cancer through community programs, emotional support and resources that help remove barriers to care.
Earlybirds Club takes place Saturday, June 6, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Revolution Live at 100 SW 3rd Ave. in Fort Lauderdale. Tickets are $40.
