Bonnet House in December already feels like a portal to another happier and festive time, but Holiday Magic turns the historic estate into something even more enchanting. For five nights, December 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 to be exact, the 35-acre estate glows on another level.
“Holiday Magic at Bonnet House is more than a celebration,” Patrick Shavloske, CEO of Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, tells Browardist. “For five enchanting nights, the historic estate glows with festive lights, music, and beautifully themed trees, wreaths and centerpieces that capture the spirit of the season. Each piece is beautifully decorated by local designers and community groups, creating a dazzling holiday showcase throughout the estate where everything you see is available for sale. It’s truly one of the most magical settings in South Florida, where history, art, and community come together, making it the ideal spot for anyone looking to celebrate the holidays close to home,”
The season opens December 5 with Holiday Jingle and Mingle, a VIP reception with first access to décor, festive bites and a full bar. Tickets run $150 a pop.
December 6 brings Whimsical Wonderland, a family forward evening with live performances from Broward Center Spotlights, letters to Santa and an appearance from the man in red himself. The final stretch arrives December 10 to 12 with three evening experiences featuring live music on the veranda (from the likes of Davis & Dow Jazz Duo, David Morn and Cruzin), glowing gardens and a chance to wander the estate after dark with a cocktail in hand.
Tickets for Whimsical Wonderland and the evening experiences, including two drink tickets (oh, yes!), are $40 for non-members with various discounts available for members and those 17-and-under.
For all nights, tickets are available at bonnethouse.org and may go quicker than you can say ho, ho, ho.
