Happy anniversary, Flamingo Flea!

Seven years in, Flamingo Flea is still doing what Broward loves most: giving local makers a cool place to shine while the rest of us pretend we only came for “a quick pop-in.”

Its 7-year anniversary market lands Sunday, March 29, at Tarpon River Brewing in Fort Lauderdale, where guests can shop 40 handcrafted vendors, catch live music and grab food and drinks while celebrating one of South Florida’s most recognizable pop-up market brands.

“I love seeing the blend of businesses flourishing, creativity, and guests still drawn to the event and supporting local,” founder Carley Sumner tells Browardist. That community-first formula has fueled Flamingo Flea since 2019, when the brand launched with a mission to spotlight artisans, vintage curators and small businesses through thoughtfully curated markets across South Florida.

The March 29 anniversary event is the big one, but it is hardly the only date worth circling. Flamingo Flea’s spring 2026 lineup also includes Ladies Night Markets at The Shorely in Fort Lauderdale on March 26 and April 9 from 6 to 9 p.m., complete with curated vendors, live DJs, marina views and complimentary bubbles, wine and spirits.

On April 18, the market heads south to Crazy Uncle Mike’s in Boca Raton with more than 30 artists, vintage resellers and live music, followed by a beachside market at Marina Village on April 19.

Then there is Doggy Fest on April 26, one of Flamingo Flea’s signature events, with pet vendors, adoptions through Good Karma Pet Rescue, a Dress Like Your Dog contest and themed photo ops. More spring dates keep the momentum going, including a Cinco de Mayo weekend market on May 2, another Ladies Night Market on May 21 and a summer kickoff market on May 31.

“For 7 years we have stuck to the basics and let our handmade businesses shine,” Sumner said. Translation: sunshine, good neighbors, live music, great finds and a very solid excuse to spend a day out supporting local.
