Giddy up. Florida Derby Day '26 is coming.

One of South Florida’s biggest days in horse racing is back this Saturday, March 28, as the Curlin Florida Derby takes over Gulfstream Park with a full-throttle lineup of elite racing, food and see-and-be-seen energy.
And while premium experiences are officially sold out, fun fact, general admission is completely free, making it one of the most accessible marquee sporting events of the year.
Now in its 75th running, the Florida Derby remains one of the premier prep races on the road to the Kentucky Derby, with a legacy that includes dozens of Triple Crown winners. This year’s $1 million Grade 1 headliner anchors a stacked card of 10 stakes races, five of them graded, totaling $2.45 million in purses and drawing top horses, trainers and jockeys from across the country.
Beyond the track, the atmosphere leans into full-on spectacle. Expect fashion, crowds and a high-energy buzz across the property, plus the debut of Taste of Florida, a one-night culinary showcase inside the Flamingo Room featuring standout South Florida chefs, curated bites and live entertainment.
