Yep, FLL can be stressful.

If your last trip out of Fort Lauderdale felt a bit chaotic, there’s now data to back it up. A new study by airport transfer provider Mozio has ranked Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport as the sixth most stressful airport in the United States.

The study analyzed key travel pain points, including daily parking rates, drive time to the city center and how often flights depart within 15 minutes of schedule. Fort Lauderdale scored a 5.44 out of 10 on the stress scale, tying with Dallas/Fort Worth for the No. 6 spot.

For FLL specifically, about 75.6% of flights depart on time within that 15-minute window, a middle-of-the-pack figure. Daily parking clocks in at $36, while the average drive to Las Olas Boulevard takes around 23 minutes. Not terrible on paper, but stacked together, enough to raise eyebrows for frequent flyers.

South Florida didn’t stop there. Miami International Airport also landed in the top 10, tying for ninth place with a score of 4.91. MIA saw 73.8% of flights departing on time, paired with a similar 23-minute drive into the city.

At the top of the stress list? Chicago O’Hare International Airport, followed by LaGuardia, JFK, Newark Liberty and Denver International. Between delays, steep parking fees and long treks into downtown, those hubs edged out the rest.
