A longtime Fort Lauderdale staple is preparing to serve its final plates. The Foxy Brown, located at 476 N. Federal Highway, will close after service on Sunday, May 10, according to a Facebook post and website notefrom restaurateur Elliot Wolf.
“After fifteen incredible years, I’ve made the difficult decision to close Foxy Brown,” Wolf wrote in a post shared Friday afternoon. “I am immensely proud of our team and deeply grateful to the guests who made this neighborhood spot their own.”
The comfort-food favorite built a loyal following over the years, racking up more than 3,000 Google reviews and 2,000 on Yelp as of press time. Originally located at 723 E. Broward Blvd., the restaurant relocated in 2021 to its current Federal Highway address, the former space now home to The Katherine.
Wolf noted that while the Foxy Brown chapter is ending, many team members will transition to his other Be Nice Restaurant Group concepts, including Coconuts, G&B Oyster Bar, G&B Dockside, Top Hat Deli and Lunchroom. “Our commitment to Fort Lauderdale remains as strong as ever,” he added.
So, guests have just over a week to stop in for one last meal. “We hope you’ll join us in these last days to share a meal, memory, and a proper farewell,” he says.
