First up: Davie. On Tuesday, March 17, the new Bagels & Co. at 3440 SW 76th Terrace — located in the Modera Academical Village near Nova Southeastern University and across from HCA Florida University Hospital — will celebrate its grand opening from 8 to 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting at 9 a.m. The first 100 guests in line will score the shop’s “Schmears On Us” promotion, which includes a free bagel with plain cream cheese and a free can of flavored La Colombe coffee. Not a bad way to start the day.
The bagel love continues the following week in Pompano Beach. On Tuesday, March 24, Bagels & Co.’s new café at 1162 N Federal Hwy. in the Park Plaza Shopping Center will host its own grand opening party from 8 to 10 a.m. Here, the first 100 guests will receive a free can of flavored La Colombe coffee plus a coupon redeemable for a free bagel and schmear on their next visit.
If you’ve never visited the rapidly expanding bagel brand, here’s the scoop: Bagels & Co. bakes more than a dozen varieties of Brooklyn-style bagels fresh daily, from classics like everything and cinnamon raisin to more playful options like French toast, cheddar habanero and blueberry. The shop also leans into the “schmear” side of things with flavors ranging from black truffle and bacon cheddar to birthday cake, honey nut and vegan tofu. Beyond bagels, the menu includes breakfast sandwiches, grab-and-go bites, parfaits, pastries and coffee drinks brewed with La Colombe beans.
The Davie and Pompano Beach openings mark the third and fourth Broward locations, joining shops in Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors as the brand continues its Florida expansion.
