Okay, we’re officially thirsty (and hungry, too). Funky Buddha is bringing back its fan-favorite Maple Bacon Coffee Porter Festival on Saturday, January 31, and the Oakland Park brewery is once again morphing into an all-day playground for beer lovers and flavor chasers.
The free festival celebrates one of Funky Buddha’s most iconic brews, Maple Bacon Coffee Porter, alongside limited releases and rare variations you do not see every day. Expect more than 40 draft beers flowing throughout the day, chef-driven food pairings and live music that keeps the party going from start to finish. Beyond the beer, the festival will have whiskey tastings, a mechanical bull, axe throwing and line dancing, all transforming the brewery into a true festival atmosphere.
“The Maple Bacon Coffee Porter Festival has evolved into something that is so much more than beer,” KC Sentz, owner of Funky Buddha, tells Browardist. “It brings together the entire community for an all-day party where iconic flavors like our award-winning diner-style Maple Bacon Coffee Porter meet live music, delicious food and 50-plus draft beers.”
For those looking to level up the experience, Funky Buddha is offering a VIP ticket for $60 with one hour of exclusive early access to the barrel room, which is also where the mechanical bull will be stationed. VIP perks include an exclusive 22-ounce Maple Bacon Coffee Porter bottle you cannot get anywhere else, a four-pack of Rise & Grind Caramel Brûlée Latte Cream Ale and limited festival merch.
The celebration does not stop on Saturday. On Sunday, Funky Buddha follows up with a Bottomless Brunch featuring unlimited brunch cocktails and beers, plus a sprawling buffet loaded with classics like chicken and waffles, pecan wood smoked bacon and maple-sage sausage.
“It’s going to be a really fun time,” Sentz adds, pointing to the expanded family-friendly activities and the laid-back brunch finale as part of the weekend-long vibe.
