Fort Lauderdale’s young professionals are getting a front-row seat to real talk, real stories and real connections this week as Handy’s NextGen Mix & Mind returns with a stacked panel and a purpose-driven twist. Set for Thursday, April 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Northern Trust Las Olas (1100 E. Las Olas Blvd.), the evening blends networking with a candid conversation around building careers, navigating uncertainty and turning ideas into something tangible.
Moderated by Nile Fortner — the publisher behind Las Olas Insider and Our South Florida — the panel brings together three local voices across media, real estate and entrepreneurship. Alexa Rosario of Heirloom, Reese Meighan of Perfect Look Photos and Browardist founder Jesse Scott will dig into themes like credibility, adversity and what it takes to grow something from the ground up.
The format keeps things fluid: a mix-and-mingle kicks things off, followed by opening remarks and a guided panel discussion that runs about 45 minutes. Expect questions that hit on everything from early vision to uncomfortable turning points, plus insights on pricing your worth, building trust and staying consistent when the path forward isn’t always clear. Audience Q&A wraps the conversation before the space shifts back into networking mode.
Beyond the panel, the mission runs deeper. Handy’s NextGen initiative focuses on connecting young professionals while supporting youth in foster care and those facing adversity.
Tickets are $25 for the public, and if you’ve been looking to sharpen your perspective while expanding your network, this is one worth circling.
