If you need an easy, traffic-light escape this season, Downtown Miami’s Holiday Village on Flagler is calling your name. The next editions - December 14 and 21 - both fall on Sundays, meaning you can skip the weekday gridlock and stroll straight into a festive streetscape near 174 E. Flagler Street from 2 to 6 p.m.

Presented by the Miami DDA, the Holiday Village turns Flagler Street into a hyperlocal holiday marketplace with more than 60 vendors, family activities and cultural programming aimed at supporting Downtown’s small businesses.

A December 7 toy drive has already wrapped, but the fun continues with two themed Sundays: a Hanukkah celebration on December 14 and “Santa Claus Is Coming to Downtown” on December 21. Expect menorah lighting, Santa photo ops, ornament-making stations, sweet seasonal treats and photo-ready installations. It’s all free and open to the public.

“There’s no better time to rediscover Flagler Street than during the Holiday Village,” Christina Crespi, CEO & Executive Director at the Miami DDA, tells Browardist. “While you’re here enjoying the festive fun, we invite you to explore the incredible local restaurants and businesses that make Downtown Miami such a vibrant and unique destination. Come for the holiday magic and stay for the culture, flavor and community that make Downtown shine.”

It’s a rare chance to experience Downtown Miami without the weekday chaos. And it’s a perfect Sunday outing for Broward residents looking for a low-stress holiday adventure.
