Get ready to go full Swede. IKEA Sunrise is rolling out its very first Julbord buffet on Friday, December 12, transforming its Swedish restaurant component into a festive wonderland of meatballs, herring, holiday cheer and all-you-can-eat everything from 5 to 7 p.m. The store, located at 151 NW 136th Ave. in Sunrise, is making it easy: no registration, no stress, just show up hungry and pay at the door.
Julbord, Sweden’s beloved Christmas feast, is known for its cozy vibes and overflowing tables — and Sunrise is leaning all the way in. Expect chilled salmon, warm classics and a dessert lineup that could convert anyone into a holiday maximalist. We're talking gooey cocoa and chocolate cake, ginger thins, almond cake and oat pastries with cocoa and coconut. The only thing missing is the snow (which we will not get around here).
Three seating times — 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. — keep things moving, and pricing is super family friendly. IKEA Family members score $19.99 tickets for adults and $9.99 for kids, while non-members pay $24.99 and $12.99, respectively. All tickets must be purchased in person at the Swedish restaurant.
Whether you’re a die-hard meatball loyalist or just looking for a quirky, cozy way to kickstart your holiday weekend, this all-you-can-eat Swedish Christmas dinner is a surprisingly delightful Broward outing.
