If you needed an excuse to post up on the sand with a blanket and let a saxophone solo soundtrack your sunset, this is it.

Jazz Fest Pompano Beach returns Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19, 2026, celebrating five years of beachfront brass, sax solos and sunset grooves along the sand. Hosted by the City’s Cultural Affairs Department (operating as Pompano Beach Arts), the free, two-day festival has quickly evolved into one of South Florida’s signature music weekends. It drew more than 10,000 registered attendees in 2025 alone.

And for its sapphire anniversary? They’re not playing around.

Saturday night opens with flutist Kim Scott, followed by Grammy-nominated sax powerhouse Richard Elliot. Headlining the evening is contemporary jazz hitmaker Brian Culbertson — a genre-blending showman with 30 Billboard No. 1 singles who’s known to turn any stage into a totally funk-fueled dance party.

Sunday keeps the tempo high. Latin Grammy-nominated pianist Martin Bejerano presents The Purple Project, a jazz-fusion tribute to Prince’s golden era. Smooth jazz staple Walter Beasley follows before Ghost-Note - led by multi-Grammy-winning percussionists Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth - closes the weekend with a percussive, high-voltage finale.

Beyond the main stage, Jazz Fest delivers a full-on cultural takeover: a culinary village spotlighting local and global flavors, activations featuring Pompano Beach’s Artists in Residence, VIP experiences and the ever-popular Local Talent Stage, with additional hometown acts to be announced in March.

General admission is free (registration required), with guests encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for the sandy beach setup. VIP passes run $125 per day or $200 for the full weekend and include premium viewing, a private cash bar and exclusive anniversary swag.
