Former First Lady Jill Biden is heading to South Florida next month for a live conversation tied to her new memoir, View from the East Wing. The event takes place Saturday, June 6 at 7 p.m. at The Hub Miami in partnership with Books & Books.
Biden will appear in conversation with political commentator and television personality Ana Navarro for a discussion centered on her time in the White House, balancing public life with family responsibilities and the stories behind her new book. According to details provided to Browardist, the conversation will also touch on topics ranging from education and women’s health initiatives to moments aboard Air Force One and Camp David during the Biden administration.
The memoir reflects on the years surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the January 6 insurrection and President Joe Biden’s decision to step away from the 2024 presidential race. Organizers describe the evening as a candid conversation about “a singular moment in U.S. history.”
Tickets are priced at $40 and include one seat plus a bookplate-signed copy of View from the East Wing. Organizers note that tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
For political junkies, history buffs or anyone curious about life behind the scenes at the White House, this one is shaping up to be a buzzy stop on Miami’s summer events calendar.
