Award-winning magician and mentalist Joel Meyers is set to perform Friday, March 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center (50 W. Atlantic Blvd). Even better: tickets are just $25, which feels like a steal for an evening designed to leave jaws on the floor.
Meyers is far from your standard magician. The internationally known performer has appeared on America’s Got Talent, FakeOff, Penn & Teller: Fool Us and spent seven seasons on Masters of Illusion, building a fanbase with a style that blends slick illusion, mentalism and serious charisma. He’s also earned APCA (Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities) honors as both Magician of the Year and Mentalist of the Year, which is a pretty strong sign he knows his way around a stunned audience.
With more than two decades of experience, Meyers has performed in more than 50 countries and even entertained celebrities including Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Jennifer Lopez. So no, this is not your cousin doing card tricks at a barbecue.
