Well, one South Florida burger brand certainly just added serious international bragging rights to its résumé.
La Birra Bar has officially been crowned Overall Winner at the inaugural Dubai Burger Championship, beating out nearly 20 global competitors in front of roughly 20,000 attendees. The Argentine-founded brand took home the top prize for its “Crispy Dubai” burger, edging out contenders from Spain, England, Brazil, Sweden and the UAE itself in a combined public and expert jury vote.
So, what’s in the burger that wowed the world?
The Crispy Dubai features 100% Argentinian beef patties layered with white cheddar, La Birra Bar’s signature crispy onions and a house dressing made with family-recipe Argentine chimichurri, mayo and a touch of black truffle. It’s all stacked on a freshly baked artisan bun and designed to hit that sweet spot of crispy, creamy and juicy in every bite.
In a recent visit, Browardist can indeed attest to it living up to the hype. Pro-tip: pair it with some fries and an LBB brownie. You’re welcome.
Founded in 2001 by Daniel Cocchia in Buenos Aires, La Birra Bar started as a neighborhood burger joint in Boedo before expanding globally. Today, the brand operates locations across Argentina, Chile, Spain and the U.S., including its Broward outposts in Oakland Park (2031 E. Oakland Park Blvd.) and Weston (1830 Main Street). There are Miami outposts in Wynwood, North Miami Beach and Doral, too.
Whichever spot you venture to, you can taste the same fully artisanal approach that just earned international gold.
