South Florida’s dining scene is about to get a dose of big-time international flair. On Friday, March 14, famed London restaurant Signor Sassi will officially open its doors in Hallandale Beach, marking the brand’s first North American location and a major culinary moment for Broward County.
The new restaurant lands at 1006 E. Hallandale Beach Blvd, bringing with it more than four decades of Italian hospitality and global prestige. Originally founded in 1984 in London’s upscale Knightsbridge neighborhood next to Harrods, Signor Sassi has long been a magnet for celebrities, socialites and cultural icons, with Rihanna, the Rolling Stones, Mary J. Blige and the Foo Fighters among those who’ve dined beneath its signature marble-and-mirrors aesthetic.
Now, that same unmistakable “Sassi style” arrives in South Florida thanks to Victorem Hospitality Group and the San Carlo Restaurants Group. With additional outposts in Dubai, Doha and Egypt, the Hallandale debut signals the brand’s official entry into the U.S. market.
The new restaurant is designed to be as much a scene as it is a dining destination. Created by London-based design firm Fettle, the 200-seat dining room blends Venetian inspiration with South Florida Art Deco touches. Expect glossy wood panels, marble tables, pastel pink and green upholstery and a striking mural by artist Jessalyn Brooks, with a grand central bar anchoring the space. An additional 25 outdoor seats round out the experience.
On the menu, diners will find a refined take on Italian classics alongside modern creations made with premium ingredients. Standout dishes include the famed Mezze Maniche all Carbonara with seasonal truffle, crispy Gamberetti & Calamari Fritti and a showstopping Wagyu Tomahawk served with broccoletti and roasted potatoes. A robust cocktail program features drinks like the Sassi Fashion - made with Four Roses bourbon, hazelnut maple syrup and Amaro - alongside an extensive international wine list.
