It's mahjong for everyone. (And it comes with a cocktail and top-tier fries, too.)

Deerfield Beach’s newest hang is giving locals another very good reason to linger. The Break House Kitchen + Beach Bar, the city’s first rooftop bar overlooking the Atlantic, is launching Sip & Play Mahjong Night, a laid-back, beginner-friendly social evening that pairs tiles with cocktails, fries and ocean breezes.

Happening Tuesday, February 3 from 5 to 8 p.m., Sip & Play is designed for everyone, whether you’re a seasoned mahjong obsessive or have no idea what a bamboo tile is. The evening kicks off with a guided intro to American-style mahjong led by a local expert, then eases into open play as the sun dips and the drinks keep flowing.

Tickets are $59.99 per person or $225.99 for a group of four and include a reserved seat, a complimentary cocktail and an order of French fries. Mahjong boards and tiles are provided, seating is limited and advance tickets are required.

The event is part of a broader push by The Break House to further become a regional and neighborhood hang, not just a one-and-done beach stop. Founded by Oceans 234 owner Danielle Rosse and led by award-winning Chef Dean Max, the oceanfront spot blends an elevated counter-service restaurant, grab-and-go café and breezy rooftop bar into one all-day destination.

Beyond mahjong, The Break House has been quietly building a stacked calendar. There’s the Full Moon Run Club on February 1, which combines a scenic beachfront 5K or two-mile walk with post-run food, drinks and a DJ. The weekly Break House Run Club meets every Thursday evening and welcomes runners and walkers of all levels. Regulars can also tap into weekday happy hour, a new Locals Club packed with perks and a monthly Coffee Club for daily caffeine loyalists.
