Coral Springs is getting its beloved deli back. Mitch’s Downtown — the father-son modern deli that’s become a Flagler Village hit, among other locales — is returning to its roots with a brand-new location opening Spring 2026 at 3334 North University Drive in Coral Springs.

Adding to the good news: it’s only one half of the brand’s expansion play, with another Mitch’s set to debut later in the year at 271 Alhambra Circle in Coral Gables, marking the brand’s first-ever Miami-Dade outpost.

For Mitch’s, the Coral Springs opening isn’t just another pin on the map. It’s a full-circle moment. “Opening in Coral Springs feels like a true homecoming for us,” co-founder Adam Shidlofsky tells Browardist. “It’s where the very first Mitch’s opened, and returning now allows us to honor our roots while introducing the next evolution of the brand. Every detail has been intentionally crafted to blend that classic New York warmth and character with a fresh, modern everyday vibe. Coral Springs is the perfect place to bring this next chapter to life as we continue our South Florida expansion.”

Both new locations will debut Mitch’s refreshed brand identity — think classic New York deli nostalgia reimagined through a South Florida lens. Expect rich greens, creams and deep browns; updated branding; and an atmosphere meant to feel like your neighborhood spot from day one. New menu drops are also on deck, which means even more ways to get your bagel-and-latke fix.

Add these launches to the existing Fort Lauderdale, Hallandale Beach and Weston stores, and it’s clear: Mitch’s has become a frontrunner for the official neighborhood deli of South Florida.
