One of Miami Beach’s most iconic spring spectacles is leveling up in a major way. Model Volleyball is back for its 16th year and, for the first time ever, it’s teaming up with legendary nightlife brand Club Space for a two-day beachfront takeover that blends sport, music and South Beach vibes to the max.
Taking place Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 from noon to 11 p.m., Model Volleyball x Club Space will transform the sand at 9th Street and the oceanfront into an open-air playground where beach volleyball and electronic music mesh.
Now firmly cemented as a staple of Miami’s cultural calendar, the event has grown from a grassroots tournament into a buzzy destination gathering drawing athletes, creators, brands and tastemakers from across the globe. This year’s edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet, with more than 250 models from 10 of Miami’s top agencies competing in a co-ed tournament while a rotating lineup of DJs keeps the beachfront dance floor moving.
Headliners CamelPhat and Prospa lead the music lineup curated by Club Space, with more than 20 DJs spinning across the weekend. Volleyball matches run throughout the afternoon before the courts clear at 6 p.m., allowing the dance floor to expand across the sand for sunset and nighttime sets.
Participating agencies include Wilhelmina, Next, Elite, Select, Source, BMG, mavn, Caroline Gleason, Ford and Wire, all competing for ultimate bragging rights and the coveted Model Volleyball Championship title.
“We’re excited to collaborate with Club Space to create something truly memorable for the Miami Beach community,” Olivia Ormos, co-founder of Model Volleyball, tells Browardist. “Bringing together 16 years of Model Volleyball with world-class music directly on the sand feels like a natural evolution and a celebration of the city that’s supported us from the very beginning.”
Beyond the action on the court and stage, guests can expect VIP oceanfront tables, brand activations, influencer experiences powered by tech platform mavn and plenty of celebrity sightings. Tickets start at just $20, making this one of the most unique beach parties of the season.
