Wagyu heaven, anyone?

The sandwich Orlando couldn’t stop talking about has officially crossed county lines. Palm Beach Meats has brought its viral “Best Sando in Orlando” to its West Palm Beach location, anchoring a brand-new seasonal menu built around indulgent, wagyu-forward comfort food that’s already developed a super-cult following.
At the center of the hype is the Japanese A5 Wagyu Katsu Sando, a thick, ultra-marbled cut of Japanese A5 Wagyu, panko-crusted and fried until golden, then tucked into soft milk bread with black garlic kewpie tonkatsu and green onion. Okay, we’re hungry.
First introduced at Palm Beach Meats’ Orlando outpost, the sandwich quickly earned its nickname thanks to its rich texture, precise technique and unapologetic decadence. Now, South Florida can finally get a bite.
“Our Sandos have absolutely taken off in Orlando with people lovingly calling them the ‘best sando in Orlando’ so we couldn’t be more excited to finally bring these fan favorites to our West Palm Beach location,” Eric San Pedro, co-founder of Palm Beach Meats, tells Browardist. “This menu really captures what we love... incredible ingredients, a little indulgence and food that’s just fun to eat.
The Wagyu Katsu lineup spans multiple price points and proteins, starting with the Mushroom Katsu at $19.99, made with lion’s mane mushroom on milk bread with black garlic kewpie tonkatsu and green onion. Meat lovers can opt for the Australian Wagyu Filet Katsu at $26.99 or absolutely level up to the Australian Wagyu Strip Katsu at $44.99. The headliner Japanese A5 Wagyu Katsu clocks in at $89.99 for those ready to go all in.
Beyond sandos, the new menu leans playful. Highlights include the Wagyu Pastrami Breakfast Sandwich with fried egg, American cheese, red onion and hot mustard; a nostalgic Wagyu PB&J on milk bread; and Wagyu Wontons with crispy garlic and sweet soy sauce. Snacks and sweets range from Aged Wagyu Tallow Popcorn with umami salt and truffle cheese to a Wagyu Tallow Brownie Sundae finished with fish sauce caramel and wagyu whipped cream.
