Well, Parkland residents sure do have one more reason to brag.

According to U.S. News & World Report's newly released 2026 Best Places to Live rankings, Parkland was named the No. 1 place to live in Florida and the No. 14 place to live in the entire United States. The annual rankings evaluate communities across the country using factors including quality of life, value, desirability and job market strength.

The recognition places the northwest Broward County city ahead of every other Florida community on the list. Known for its highly rated schools, expansive parks, family-oriented neighborhoods and suburban setting, Parkland has long been a sought-after address for South Florida homebuyers. The new ranking further cements its reputation as one of the state's most desirable places to call home.

Broward County scored another notable win with Weston, which landed at No. 3 among Florida cities. Like Parkland, Weston routinely earns praise for its schools, community amenities, green space and overall quality of life.

Nationally, Carmel, Indiana, claimed the top overall spot in the United States. Parkland's No. 14 national ranking puts it in elite company among communities spanning the country.
