A Deerfield Beach coffee concept has officially blossomed from local favorite to rapid-growth franchise in under two years.
Founded less than 18 months ago, Pilar Coffee Bar announced plans today to open 11 new franchised locations by the end of 2027, bringing its polished café concept to cities across Florida, New York and Colorado. The brand’s flagship location in Deerfield Beach helped introduce South Floridians to its mix of upscale café aesthetics, mountain-grown coffee and European-inspired quick-service fare.
The next Pilar Coffee Bar is slated to open this summer in Roslyn, N.Y. Additional locations expected later this year include Coral Springs, Palm Beach Gardens, Elwood, N.Y. and Aurora, Colo. In 2027, the company plans to expand into Delray Beach, Miami, Tampa, Huntington Village, N.Y., Manhasset, N.Y. and Denver.
Founded by franchise veteran Steve Giordanella through ABC Franchise Group, Pilar has built a following around specialty lattes, cold brews and iced drinks crafted with beans sourced from Brazil and Colombia. Guests can also expect made-to-order sandwiches, salads and pastries served daily starting at 7:30 a.m.
Unlike traditional grab-and-go coffee chains, Pilar positions itself as an all-day hangout spot designed for remote work sessions, casual meetings and afternoon coffee breaks. That approach appears to be catching on quickly, especially as boutique café culture continues booming across South Florida.
