Hey Plantation, that sandwich decision just got a little toastier. And for 50 early birds, lunch plans could get considerably cheaper, er, free.
Potbelly has opened at 1716 N. University Drive, Suite A, in Plantation Pointe, near Sunrise Boulevard. The shop debuted October 27, becoming the chain’s second South Florida location after its Davie shop opened in April. Yep, Broward now has both.
The date to circle: Friday, November 6. From 9 to 11 a.m., the new shop will host its grand opening celebration, with free Potbelly for a year going to the first 50 guests in line.
Here’s how that works: Each winner receives a coupon book redeemable for one free sandwich a week for a year. So, set that alarm accordingly, sandwich people.
The festivities also include a ribbon cutting and Potbelly Perks Plinko, with chances to win merchandise, free food and other prizes. Consider it a little lunchtime luck before lunchtime even arrives.
Behind the shop is owner and operator PB Florida Holdings, LLC, led by Rami Boaziz, CEO of parent company Stellar Hospitality. A former Chicago resident and longtime Potbelly fan, Boaziz is steering the brand’s Broward expansion, with Plantation marking his second shop.
On the menu and if you’ve never dabbled in Potbelly are oven-toasted sandwiches and wraps, salads and hand-dipped shakes. The shop is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with dine-in service, online and app ordering for pickup, catering and delivery through outside services.
