Bring your four-legged friend to a holiday happy hour... and maybe adopt a new four-legged friend on-site, too?

If your dog’s holiday calendar is already stacked, add this one in pen. Escape Rooftop Bar at the Kimpton Shorebreak Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort is hosting Santa Paws on the Rooftop on Monday, December 22, turning one of Fort Lauderdale Beach’s favorite pet-friendly perches into a festive happy hour for pups and their people.

From 5:30 to 8 p.m., the rooftop transforms into a merry, dog-forward hangout complete with seasonal décor, holiday music and plenty of wag-worthy moments.

Dogs are encouraged to dress the part, with photo ops alongside Santa, holiday-themed playtime, special treats and water stations throughout the space. Tito’s Vodka is in on the fun, too, with specialty holiday pup-tails available for purchase, including Rudolph’s Waggin’ Punch with Tito’s Vodka, orange juice, cranberry juice, lemon and citrus soda; the Snow Pup Mule with Tito’s Vodka, lime, cranberry and ginger beer; and The Paw-liday Martini featuring Tito’s Vodka, St-Germain, cranberry, lime and a sugar rim.

The feel-good factor goes beyond the cocktails. A portion of proceeds from the specialty drinks benefits Abandoned Pet Rescue, and the APR team will be on-site with adoption-ready dogs for anyone feeling inspired to play Santa.

“It’s heartwarming to see people bringing their pets, many of whom are rescues, to support our fundraising efforts,” said Lionel Mignot, assistant food and beverage manager at the Kimpton Shorebreak.

Kara Starzyk, shelter manager at Abandoned Pet Rescue, added that with shelters over capacity, “every time a dog or cat goes home, it opens up space for another abandoned pet to make their way into a better life.”

Santa Paws on the Rooftop takes place at Escape Rooftop Bar, located at 2900 Riomar Street in Fort Lauderdale. Valet and street parking will be available.
