Santa has traded snow for sunshine (who blames the guy?) and Fort Lauderdale is his first stop of the season. The big guy in red will sleigh into The Christmas Palace – located at 200 East Sunrise Boulevard – on Sunday, November 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., officially kicking off the most wonderful time of the year in true South Florida style.
Families can meet Santa, snap festive selfies and drop wish lists into his magical mailbox, with Rudolph standing by to deliver them straight to the North Pole. Kids aren’t the only ones feeling the spirit: adults can browse the glittering aisles of South Florida’s largest holiday décor store, where twinkling lights, themed trees and life-sized nutcrackers make every corner resemble a total snow globe come to life.
“The day after Halloween is when the magic of the holidays truly begins,” Jimmy Knips, owner of The Christmas Palace, tells Browardist. “Santa’s visit to The Christmas Palace marks the moment families start dreaming, decorating and embracing the holiday spirit. It’s the perfect way to kick off the season... with a visit to Santa, a stroll through our enchanting wonderland and inspiration from our beautifully designed themed trees.”
Founded in 1992, The Christmas Palace is a Broward and Miami holiday institution. Its Fort Lauderdale showroom transforms each year into an immersive wonderland of glowing garlands, premium ornaments and expertly curated Christmas trees in every imaginable theme, from forest fantasy to pastel elegance.
“At The Christmas Palace, Christmas isn’t a season... it’s our passion, our craft and our legacy,” adds Knips. “It’s more than shopping... it’s where family traditions begin and the spirit of Christmas comes alive for the entire community.”
In the spirit of giving, visitors are encouraged to bring new, unwrapped toys for patients at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital. Each donor will receive a $10 store coupon and maybe a little extra holiday magic, too.
Santa lands at The Christmas Palace in Fort Lauderdale on Sunday, November 2. He’s visiting The Christmas Palace’s Miami store, too, on Saturday, November 1. For more details, visit thechristmaspalace.com.
