South Florida is set to welcome one of the region’s most meaningful cultural celebrations as the Seminole Tribal Fair and Pow Wow returns to Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood from Friday, January 30 through Sunday, February 1. The free, three-day event invites the public to experience Native culture through film, music, dance, art and tradition, all in one immersive weekend.

A major centerpiece of this year’s gathering is the Native Reel Cinema Festival, which brings Native storytelling to the big screen with a powerful lineup of screenings, tributes and special appearances. Highlights include the 30th anniversary screening of Indian in the Cupboard and the 20th anniversary of Trudell, along with the final stop of the Sundance Indigenous Shorts Tour. That tour will include a tribute to Robert Redford for his decades-long support of Indigenous voices in film. Short films by Native directors from around the world round out the program, offering a global perspective on contemporary Native storytelling.

Feature-length screenings also include Riding Through the Fray, a documentary centered on roller derby and Seminole Tribal member Meredith Bullard, and Remaining Native, a buzzy film that has been making waves on the festival circuit. Throughout the weekend, attendees can take part in Q&A panels, meet-and-greet sessions and special appearances by Litefoot, Keith Secola, Tazbah Chavez, Doggface, Michael Spears and more. The cinema festival concludes with a tribute honoring acclaimed actor Graham Greene for his lasting impact on Native film and storytelling.

Beyond the cinema, the Seminole Tribal Fair and Pow Wow delivers a full slate of live experiences, including Native American dance and drum troupes, exhibition dancing, drumming competitions, live music, wildlife and alligator demonstrations, plus vendors offering Native arts, crafts and traditional foods. The Pow Wow Grand Entry takes place at noon on both Friday and Saturday, marking a must-see moment of the weekend.

Primitive camping facilities will be available for Pow Wow participants and vendors, and a Sunday concert is planned, with details to be announced. Admission is free and open to the public.
