This will be a chat and jam like few others.

Florida Atlantic University students are about to receive a financial lesson from one of basketball’s biggest icons, followed by a bass-heavy live performance from his famous musical alter ego.
Shaquille O’Neal will visit FAU’s Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium on Nov. 9 as the final stop on Credit One Bank’s new Credit Tip Off Tour. The free event is limited to the first 500 enrolled FAU students who register.
Before Shaq steps behind the decks as DJ Diesel, he will join Credit One Bank Chief Marketing Officer Michael Coleman for a Real Credit Chat moderated by Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia. The conversation will cover building healthy credit, avoiding common mistakes and lessons O’Neal learned through his own early financial missteps.
Interactive games, activities and prizes will also be in the mix. Then DJ Diesel will close the event with a live set, giving Owls a campus experience that sits somewhere between personal finance class and music festival.
The four-stop tour was developed in response to gaps in credit knowledge among younger adults. A Credit One Bank survey conducted with YouGov found that 74% of credit card owners ages 18 to 34 did not know a missed payment can remain on a credit report for up to seven years. More than half were also unaware of the commonly recommended 30% credit-utilization ceiling.
Admission is free, but capacity is capped and registration is required. Students can register and find additional information at creditonetipofftour.com.
