Wine, art and goodwill are about to flow freely in Dania Beach. Business for the Arts Broward (BFA) will host its fifth annual Art & Somm on Thursday, November 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Yes We Are Mad. At its core, the event blends fine wine pairings, inspired cuisine and artistic encounters to benefit the local creative community.
Presented by Burdette Beckmann Inc. (BBI), this year’s Art & Somm will allow guests to mingle with five standout South Florida artists from the SOBRA Collective: Harumi Abe, Christian Feneck, Luke Jenkins, Kandy G. Lopez and Carmen Smith. Their diverse works span painting, woodworking, fiber and mixed media – the hybrid of art promises to create a visual feast to complement the culinary one. The South Florida Symphony Orchestra will provide live entertainment throughout the night.
“Art & Somm is a truly one-of-a-kind experience for wine enthusiasts and art lovers alike,” Robyn Vegas, Executive Director of Business for the Arts Broward, tells Browardist. “It’s an evening that blends the best of South Florida’s creative and culinary scenes while directly supporting our mission to sustain and grow the arts in our community. Every glass poured and every piece of art shared helps ensure that creativity continues to thrive throughout Broward County.”
Since its debut in 2021, Art & Somm has raised more than $230,000 for BFA’s Endowed Fund for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Broward. It’s a lasting investment in cultural vibrancy and creative opportunity. This year’s sponsors include BBX Capital, Crown Residential, Cathy and James Donnelly Charitable Fund, UBS | Garvin Financial Team, Pierson Grant Public Relations, Hoffman’s Chocolates and, its host, Yes We Are Mad.
Tickets are $250 per person with 100% of proceeds fueling BFA’s mission. For tickets and sponsorship details, visit bfabroward.org.
