Miami Beach-bred mixers (with benefits!) are taking off. Here's where to snag 'em in Broward.

If you’ve ordered a cocktail lately and wondered why the mixer still feels stuck in another era, a Miami-born company thinks it has the answer.

Revello Modern Mixers, founded by Miami Beach-based entrepreneur Matt Teitelbaum, has officially launched statewide through Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, placing the brand in more than 100 hospitality and retail accounts across Florida in just a matter of months.

The concept started in an unlikely place: a cold plunge.

“This was an idea that popped in my head in a cold plunge,” Teitelbaum told Browardist. “Modernizing the mixer the same way Smartwater modernized regular bottled water.”

A longtime finance executive, Teitelbaum wasn’t a beverage industry veteran. Instead, he was inspired by a personal philosophy centered on balance.

“It reflects a lifelong mantra and just way of living, which is ‘everything in moderation,’” he said. “It really represents that balance of those two things of keeping your wellness routine but also enjoying the cocktail or a mocktail in a social setting.”

Revello enters a category traditionally dominated by sugary mixers and familiar labels. The brand’s lineup includes tonic water, club soda, ginger beer, ginger ale, sparkling grapefruit and sparkling lemon. Each is made with clean ingredients, balanced sweetness and added electrolytes, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It runs for $11.99 per four-pack.

Teitelbaum said the challenge was creating a product that delivered wellness-minded ingredients without sacrificing flavor.

“If you don't have a good tasting product, it doesn't really matter what the other check boxes are,” he said. “It's got to be a great tasting product.”

After conducting blind taste tests against competitors, Revello was formulated without artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners or preservatives while keeping sugar and calories relatively low. The result is designed to work equally well in cocktails, mocktails or straight from the can.

For Broward residents curious to try it, Revello has already popped up at several local businesses including Le Méridien Dania Beach at Fort Lauderdale Airport, Logan’s Beach Bar in Hollywood, Yacht Chandlers Inc. in Fort Lauderdale and The Vault Hollywood. Additional placements include Gen Korean BBQ House, LeBoy, JByrd’s Muddy Waters Restaurant & Raw Bar, and Red Door Asian Bistro & Hibachi.

Teitelbaum’s personal favorite flavors? The sparkling grapefruit, inspired by South Florida, and the ginger beer.

The statewide rollout represents a major milestone. Southern Glazer’s distribution network gives Revello access to restaurants, bars, hotels and retailers throughout Florida.

“We're calling this the modern mixer and we're just getting going,” Teitelbaum said.

As for what comes next, the company isn’t rushing into national expansion.

“The idea is to really own all of Florida,” Teitelbaum said. “Our full-time focus, the lens we're looking through, everything that we're doing is here in Florida.”
