On March 5 - better known locally as 305 Day - Spirit Airlines is leaning all the way in with a limited-time airfare deal that’s about as Miami as that cafecito break.
For one day only, the South Florida–based airline is offering one-way flights starting at $30.50 out of Miami International Airport. The catch? Travelers must book the fare on Thursday, March 5 by 11:59 p.m. ET, with travel valid April 14 through May 19, 2026, and limited to Tuesday and Wednesday departures.
The ultra-low fares connect Miami to several major cities across the country, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas–Fort Worth, Houston and New York–LaGuardia.
“As South Florida’s hometown airline, we will always take any opportunity to celebrate the 305 and our Miami Guests,” Andrea Lusso, Spirit Airlines’ vice president of network planning, tells Browardist. “We’re here to deliver the best value in the sky to MIA travelers who know they can count on us for affordable options to great destinations.”
While Broward County travelers typically default to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, this is one of those moments where a quick Tri-Rail ride down to Miami International Airport could seriously pay off. If fares from Fort Lauderdale aren’t cooperating, a $30.50 flight out of Miami might be the ultimate Worth Traveling For workaround.
Spirit currently operates nonstop service to 12 destinations from Miami, and this 305 Day promotion is one of the airline’s biggest annual nods to its hometown roots. Just remember: the deal is March 5 only, so procrastinators need not apply.
