Downward facing cat, anyone?

If your idea of self-care includes yoga mats and whiskered supervision, this one’s for you, folks. PURRR Adoption + Sanctuary is hosting Kitty Yoga on Thursday, January 22, inviting the community to stretch, breathe and find their inner Kit-Zen alongside some very cool cats.
The all-levels class begins at 6:45 p.m. at PURRR Adoption + Sanctuary in Oakland Park and is led by celebrated yoga and Pilates instructor Lauren Cobb. Expect a gentle, accessible flow designed for seasoned yogis and total beginners alike, with one key twist: PURRR’s resident cats will be roaming freely. They may supervise your downward dog, claim your mat as their throne or simply nap through savasana. Purr-fection.
The $30 donation-based class includes a provided yoga mat, though guests are welcome to bring their own – as of press time, there were less than 20 tickets left. Every dollar goes directly back to PURRR Adoption + Sanctuary, supporting its mission to rescue cats, facilitate adoptions and fund critical spay and neuter initiatives across South Florida. Founded in 2018, the nonprofit is dedicated to transforming cats’ lives one PURRR at a time while strengthening the human-feline connection.
Spots are limited and this experience is about mindful movement, not same-day adoptions, so plan accordingly.
