That Saturday taco budget of yours could help put dinner on someone else’s table.
Feeding South Florida’s Tacos & Tequila returns Saturday, November 7, from 2 to 6 p.m. at its Pembroke Park Warehouse, 2501 SW 32nd Terrace. The outdoor fundraiser combines an all-inclusive afternoon of eating and drinking with a mission: fighting hunger across South Florida.
General admission for adults 21 and older costs $40 and includes all food and drinks, live music and entertainment, salsa dancing and access to the kids’ zone. Children’s admission costs $20. Expect tequila cocktails, wine, entertainment from Ryan Bauta Entertainment and raffles, too.
The confirmed vendor roster includes Red Chair Catering, FSF Catering Service, Casa Maestri, We Are Greenhouse, Grace Tropical Eatz, Tacos Davie Co. and Kona Ice. Chef Susan Taves will showcase Feeding South Florida’s catering offerings, while vendors compete for “Best Taco” and “Best Tequila Cocktail.”
For $75, guests 21 and older can snag VIP admission, which adds a private area, front-of-stage access, premium food and beverages, and exclusive tastings. The VIP-only menu also includes Paco’s Tacos, served by Feeding South Florida CEO Paco Velez himself.
All proceeds support the organization’s hunger-relief work. According to Feeding South Florida, 1.7 million people across the region experience food insecurity, including nearly 500,000 children and seniors. The organization says every $1 provides four meals.
