If your golf game could use some attention — or you simply enjoy a good competition with a cocktail in hand — a new spot in Oakland Park is ready to welcome you. Tee Box Fort Lauderdale will officially celebrate its grand opening on Friday, June 12, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and community party from 6 to 9 p.m.

Located at 995 E. Commercial Blvd., Tee Box combines golf training, technology, fitness and social experiences under one roof. The facility is designed for everyone from serious golfers working on their swing to newcomers looking for a fun night out. Inside, visitors will find Trackman technology, golf simulators, putting greens, fitness equipment and performance-focused training programs aimed at improving every aspect of the game.

The grand opening event is shaping up to be far from your standard ribbon cutting. Guests will receive a scorecard and make their way through nine themed stations throughout the facility, each representing a different "hole." Challenges include contests such as Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive, with participants who complete all nine stations entered into raffles featuring prizes from major golf brands including Callaway, Titleist and PING.

Food and beverage partners will also be on hand throughout the evening, including Maison Perrier, Gulf Stream Distillery, Los Linderos Tequila, Tripping Animals Brewing Co., Nomad Whisky, The London No. 1 Gin and Bodegas Beronia.

The Fort Lauderdale location is owned by first-time business owner Mitri Najjar, who discovered the Tee Box concept while exploring ways to bring a golf-focused training facility to South Florida. What started as plans for an independent operation ultimately evolved into bringing the growing franchise concept to Broward County.

“I was so excited when Mitri and his family chose to bring Tee Box to Fort Lauderdale,” Tee Box CEO Preston Unck tells Browardist. “This community deserves a place to take their game seriously — from the everyday amateur who just wants to get better, to the high schooler with dreams bigger than they can see right now. That’s exactly what Tee Box was built to be — the institutional facility this country has been missing. A place with real tools: Trackman, simulators, a gym, putting greens, and training programming built around the whole golfer. Mitri and his Box Pro Chris are going to pour into this community in ways that go far beyond the game. That’s what gets me. Golf has a way of building character, discipline, and identity — and now Fort Lauderdale has a home for that. As we grow to hundreds of locations across the country, the mission stays the same everywhere: Build Better Golfers. Build Better Humans. Golf goes through a Tee Box.”
