The stars will be shining in Fort Lauderdale for the 40th anniversary of FLIFF.

Fort Lauderdale is rolling out the red carpet in a massive way. The 40th annual Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival returns February 20 through February 28, 2026 and this milestone year is bringing serious star power to town for premieres Q&As and special appearances across Broward County.

Leading the celebrity lineup are Terrence Howard, Chevy Chase, Jeremy Piven, Paul Reiser, and South Florida icon Guy Harvey, alongside Jamie Kennedy, Harland Williams, Jeremy Sumpter, Danay Garcia, Sydelle Noel, and more. Many will appear in person for screenings, conversations and post-film receptions.

Opening Night on Saturday, February 21 centers on the world premiere of Miami Nights, an action thriller shot locally and starring Howard, Piven, Sumpter, Garcia and Noel, complete with a reception, screening, Q&A and after-party at Savor Cinema. Midweek highlights include The Problem with People with Paul Reiser in attendance, the Florida premiere of I’m Chevy Chase and You’re Not honoring Chase with a Lifetime Achievement Award and the comedy Wingman featuring Jamie Kennedy and Harland Williams. 

The festival closes in splashy style on Saturday, February 28 with the world premiere of Guy Harvey: The Documentary at the IMAX inside the Museum of Discovery and Science, followed by cocktails and an after-party with Harvey himself.

Beyond the celebrity factor, FLIFF showcases more than 50 films and documentaries, including world, U.S. and Florida premieres, while supporting year-round film programming, education and the arts in South Florida.
