Wellness can get weird fast. One minute, you are researching better sleep; the next, someone is explaining peptides, pressurized oxygen and electromagnetic fields. The Biohack Lab aims to make that leap considerably easier.
Founder Natacha Coles opened the original lab at 1785 SE 17th St. in Fort Lauderdale in 2022. The company now operates five South Florida locations, including a second Broward outpost at 12301 Taft St., Suite 200, in Pembroke Pines.
The remaining labs are in Miami’s Morningside neighborhood, inside Equinox in Coral Gables and at Reserve Padel at SoLé Mia in North Miami. Three are standalone wellness lounges with broader medical capabilities, while the Equinox and Reserve Padel locations weave targeted recovery into places members already frequent.
Coles’ route to this growing wellness network began with a family health scare. Born and raised in Haiti, she moved to South Florida approximately eight years ago while experiencing severe burnout and searching for answers about her teenage daughter’s unexplained symptoms.
After hearing a podcast guest discuss mold toxicity, Coles sought ozone therapy for her daughter. She said the teen returned to normal after eight sessions, prompting Coles to study therapies ranging from hyperbaric oxygen to red light.
“I was like, ‘This could not possibly exist, and no one knows about it,’” Coles told Browardist. “I went on a deep dive.”
She began buying wellness devices for home use. Soon, relatives were lining up to try them, and her husband suggested putting the growing collection somewhere outside the house. Along the way, Coles enjoyed the journey of learning and still does.
Today, The Biohack Lab offers 100-plus services spanning wellness, IV therapies, peptides, regenerative medicine and brain optimization. The menu includes infrared sauna, cryotherapy, salt room sessions, red light therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, molecular hydrogen, biometric testing and brain mapping.
Browardist recently visited the Fort Lauderdale lab, where the atmosphere was tranquil and the extensive service roster was surprisingly simple to navigate. Friendly staff members guide visitors through the options, while licensed physicians, nurses and practitioners oversee medical services. It lands somewhere between a clinic, spa and social club without fully mirroring any of them.
“People have to understand why they’re coming,” Coles said. “It is medical, but it’s not cold. It’s social. You could come in with friends.”
Prices vary widely. Molecular hydrogen sessions begin around $20, an infrared sauna visit costs approximately $40 and hyperbaric oxygen therapy is listed at $155. Memberships begin around $149 monthly, with points that can be used for eligible services and carried into future months. Day passes, points packs and gift cards are available for visitors who prefer less commitment.
Education is another pillar. BHL Presents hosts free expert discussions, panels and workshops, with over 30 filmed talks covering recovery, health and human performance. “We had become a guide for people into their own wellness and into learning their own body,” Coles said. “The environment mattered, and mindset matters.”
Coles said two additional South Florida locations are in the pipeline.
