Come on down, Broward! Your shot at spinning the Big Wheel and bidding on a suspiciously expensive toaster could begin inside a Hollywood car dealership.
Toyota of Hollywood and CBS Miami are teaming up to host an open casting call for “The Price Is Right” on Friday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Auditions will take place inside the Toyota of Hollywood showroom at 1841 N. State Road 7 in Hollywood.
Admission is free and no purchase is required. Hopeful contestants must be at least 18, legally reside in the United States and meet the show’s additional eligibility requirements.
Before arriving, applicants must download and complete the contestant application, release and waiver available through CBS Miami. The paperwork must be submitted at the casting call, and only one application will be accepted per person. Everyone must also check in at the registration table before stepping in front of the camera.
Then comes the big moment: approximately 30 seconds to convince casting producers that you belong on television. Applicants may be asked why they want to join “The Price Is Right” or what would make them a memorable contestant. CBS Miami may close the registration line early to ensure everyone already waiting can audition before 1 p.m.
Two semifinalists will receive round-trip transportation to Los Angeles, two hotel nights and taping-related transportation for another interview. One could ultimately be chosen to compete for cash and prizes on the Drew Carey-hosted game show.
