Prepare yourselves - Zhō is coming.

Dania Pointe’s dining lineup is about to get a little pizzazz, y’all. BOL Hospitality Group, the South Florida hospitality company behind Bae Korean Grill at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, has signed a lease for Zhō, a new pan-Asian restaurant expected to open in Q4 2026, with groundbreaking anticipated in Q2 2026.

And yes, this is the same group behind Bae, which has already built a loyal following for its high-energy, interactive Korean barbecue experience. That alone makes Zhō one to watch.

The 6,700-square-foot concept will land on Pointe Drive next to the Fort Lauderdale Improv and is shaping up to be a major addition to Dania Pointe’s growingly buzzy mix. Named after the Chinese word for a boat used for travel, Zhō is being positioned as a culinary journey across Asia, rooted in Chinese tradition and sharpened through Japanese technique. In other words, this is not a random mashup moment. The idea is to let each regional influence stand on its own while still delivering a polished, cohesive experience.

“We have been developing this concept for years with a clear vision,” Eric Douglas, co-founder of BOL Hospitality Group, tells Browardist. “Today’s guest expects more than a meal. They expect intention, craftsmanship and an environment that reflects the quality of what is on the plate.”

Expect refined dishes inspired by China and Japan, with rotating influences from other Asian regions, plus a cocktail program built with Asian ingredients and techniques. The space itself sounds like it will go big on atmosphere too, with warm woods, layered textures, patio seating and an open kitchen centered around a sushi bar. The restaurant is expected to seat about 210 guests.

Founded in 2013 by Douglas and Hai Nguyen, BOL Hospitality Group has made a name for itself with design-forward, experience-driven concepts including The BŌL Asian Cuisine, Social Room, Seminole Cigar Landing and Davidoff of Geneva Cigar Lounge. With Zhō, the group is betting that Broward has room for another statement restaurant. Based on the track record, that feels like a pretty safe bet.
