Breeze Airways is making a significant play at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, adding eight new nonstop routes that further expand the airport's growing roster of low-cost options. The new service began rolling out between July 1 and July 3, marking one of the airline's largest single expansions in South Florida.

As reported by Simple Flying, South Florida Business Journal and more, the new nonstop routes include daily service to Tampa and Jacksonville. Breeze is also launching twice-weekly flights to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Pennsylvania and Salisbury, Maryland, two destinations that previously lacked nonstop service from Fort Lauderdale. Additional new routes include Charleston, South Carolina, Tallahassee, Greenville-Spartanburg, South Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama.
