Does Caviar Club require a membership? A sport coat? An encyclopedic knowledge of fish eggs?
Ahead of its October 27 grand opening at 833 E. Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, Browardist sat down with Marc Falsetto to confirm the vibe and untangle the rumors. Miami New Times recently confirmed the debut; here’s what to know before booking.
What exactly is Caviar Club?
“Caviar Club is not a caviar bar,” Falsetto tells Browardist. “We are a retro-glam American steakhouse inspired by the excess, decadence and unapologetic luxury of the 1980s.”
Expect a sophisticated dinner that shifts into a livelier evening: “And after 9 PM, the room comes alive.”
Browardist’s prior first look teased Dover sole filleted tableside, French dips with au jus in Baccarat crystal, and prime dry-aged and Wagyu steaks carved before guests.
Do I have to be a member?
“No.”
The public can visit for nightly dinner in the Main Dining Room or cocktails and bites in the Bar Room. A private membership program offers exclusive access, experiences and benefits unavailable to general guests.
What’s the dress code?
“Dress for the room.”
That means no shorts, athletic wear or hats, and no sandals for gentlemen. One rumor gets a definitive correction: “a sport coat is not required.”
Can I bring the kids?
“After 8:30 PM, all guests must be 21+.”
Earlier visits exclude children under five. There are no highchairs, and strollers aren’t permitted inside. Falsetto describes the concept as “an elevated, adult dining experience.”
Which room should I book?
The Main Dining Room delivers the full menu and full service. The Bar Room opens daily at 4 p.m., with cocktails, caviar, light bites and selected Caviar Club classics.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are strongly encouraged for both rooms, including bar and lounge seating, and available exclusively through the restaurant’s website. Limited early-evening Bar Room seats are held for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.
Falsetto’s marching orders: “Plan ahead. Dress well. Stay late.”
