Welcome to Broward, Motek!

Fort Lauderdale Beach’s next big restaurant arrival has a firm date. Motek by the Sea officially opens for dine-in service Thursday, November 5, bringing pita-stuffed burgers, Mediterranean spreads and ocean views to W Fort Lauderdale.

And there’s a second opening on the horizon: Sesame Kitchen, an outdoor Mediterranean café from the same team, is expected in the coming weeks. An exact opening date has yet to be announced.

Browardist previously reported the beachside expansion. Now, Happy Corner Hospitality’s Broward debut is ready for its big unveil, with approximately 12,000 square feet and 315 seats at Motek’s first oceanfront restaurant.

Founded by Charlie Levy, the group launched Motek in Downtown Miami in 2020. Its Fort Lauderdale menu spans all-day brunch through dinner, with hummus, kebabs, freshly baked laffa and pita, whole Mediterranean branzino and the signature Arayes Burger: spiced beef tucked into pita and grilled until crisp. The brand’s $5 happy hour is coming, too.

Takeout and delivery are already available ahead of Thursday’s dine-in debut.

Next door, Sesame Kitchen will bring a different setup, comprised of approximately 40 outdoor seats, tropical landscaping, striped textiles and a custom serving truck anchoring the space. Expect house-made croissants, bourekas and sufganiyot alongside specialty lattes, coffee and tea.

It will be Sesame Kitchen’s second location, following its original at SoLé Mia in North Miami.
