Halloween overload... in the best way possible.

Some houses put out a pumpkin. Well, this Oakland Park house gives you an entire front yard to explore—and buttons you’re absolutely supposed to push.
Holiday House, at 798 NE 38th Street in Oakland Park, has Browardist’s unofficial vote for Halloween champion of Broward County. In a recent visit, the home’s seasonal display morphs a neighborhood stop into a totally interactive outing, with inflatables, characters and plenty of reasons to slow down and investigate every little thing that’s going on.
And yes, you can actually wander into the yard here. Visitors can walk through the decorated front yard, getting a closer look at the setup instead of doing the usual slow drive past with a phone hanging out the window. Look for the “Try Me” buttons labeled throughout and give them a press. Don’t be bashful... interacting with the display is encouraged.
If the address sounds familiar, Browardist previously spotlighted Holiday House’s Christmas extravaganza. The homeowners also decorate for celebrations throughout the year, including Valentine’s Day, Easter, Pride and the Fourth of July. Clearly, the decorations here don’t spend much time in storage.
Plan your parking before heading over. Spaces immediately around the house can be tight. Our earlier coverage suggested looking for parking near Wag Park or Richard E. Giusti Heart Par Cours Park, around 600 NE 38th Street, then walking a few blocks east. Follow posted parking signs and keep neighboring driveways clear.
